I am a self-disciplined, compassionate Registered General Nurse with 6 years of practical working experience in a hospital setting providing outstanding nursing care. I am a great team player and have the capacity to work under pressure with virtually no supervision. I deliver the highest quality of care in accordance with NMC guidelines. Having worked in various units and wards such as the Medical and Surgical Units , Out Patient Department , Neuroscience unit , Oncology unit, surgical Theatre and Recovery , and currently working in the ICU for 3 years now, I have gained lots of experience that has helped me improve my knowledge and maintained my clinical skills while providing optimum care for my patients which is appropriate to this specialty been applied for.

The skills and qualities I have acquired over the years includes been competent to deliver patient centred care, that is, always putting patients first at all times, working in collaboration with patients and their families to deliver optimum care in both acute and chronic cases. Delivering Safe , quality , compassionate care has always been my core foundation when patients are left in my care. I have ample experience in managing the acutely Ill from assessment phase to when patient is discharged, providing relevant support when needed. Throughout my practice , I have developed detailed care plans for patients which helped in offering better care and also ensuring continuity of care. I have always obtained informed consent from patients, embraced diversity with people from different backgrounds by showing empathy and respect to their beliefs, maintaining confidentiality, safeguarding, risk assessments and caring for patients holistically.

My experience in the ICU been a critical area has shaped me into a critical thinker and proactive nurse delivering around the clock quality nursing care.

I believe that what sets me apart is that i follow organization guidelines religiously. I always make sure I represent the company i work for well by adhering to their values .
