• Review and interpret mechanical designs, drawings, and specifications for HVAC, Plumbing, Firefighting, and other mechanical systems.
• Prepare technical specifications, bill of quantities (BOQ), and procurement schedules for mechanical systems.
• Oversee installation of HVAC (FCUs, AHUs, ducting, chillers, etc.), Plumbing (piping, pumps, drainage, etc.), and Firefighting (fire suppression, hydrants, pumps, etc.).
• Implement and enforce QA/QC procedures for mechanical installations.
• Conduct material inspections, method statement reviews, and work inspections (WIR).
• Develop and execute testing & commissioning plans for HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting systems.
• Supervise pressure testing, flow tests, performance tests, and system balancing.
• Coordinate with third-party inspectors and consultants for approvals.
• Lead project meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors.
• Track project milestones, budgets, and schedules, ensuring on-time delivery.
• Provide technical guidance to the project team and resolve critical issues.
• Provide technical support for warranty and post-handover maintenance.
• Ensure project progress is tracked and reported regularly to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with project requirements, international standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, API, etc.), and local regulations.
• Participate in design coordination meetings with consultants, clients, and subcontractors.
• Evaluate vendor proposals, conduct technical reviews, and approve materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Coordinate with suppliers for timely material delivery and ensure compliance with approved specifications.
• Conduct site inspections, resolve technical issues, and ensure work execution as per approved drawings and project standards.
• Ensure proper coordination between civil, electrical, and mechanical teams for seamless execution.
• Ensure all mechanical systems comply with project quality standards and client expectations.
• Address non-conformance reports (NCRs) and take corrective actions.
• Conduct training sessions for end users on system operation and maintenance.
• Prepare and submit as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and handover documents.
• Maintain project documentation, including progress reports, RFIs, and change orders.
• Conduct inspections and address operational issues reported by facility management teams.
• Implement preventive maintenance strategies for long-term system reliability.
• Ensure that the available manpower and material are sufficient to perform the works within the time frame set in the schedule
• Plan ahead the construction activities with subcontractors to be in line with the project schedule and key dates.
