Social work pro specializing in refugees and asylum

" I am what is called a "macro" social worker, which means I specialize in advocacy, policy, community organizing, and program design, evaluation, and administration. I also have extensive "micro" social work, or direct service, experience. My experience is primarily with refugees, asylum seekers, and immigrants. However, I also have extensive experience working with unhoused or homeless people, low-income people, families, and minorities. Many of my clients were actually both asylum seekers, homeless, low-income, and a minority, for example. I have a Master of Social Work from Fordham University in New York City, with a Specialization Practice Certificate in Crisis & Resilience. I was recognized by my fellow social workers at the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) with the Dr. Peter B Vaughan award for New York City, recognizing me for my "high level of professional commitment, identity, and values through student leadership, field practice, or academic projects." I was also named a 2025 Fordham Graduate School of Social Service (GSS) Changemaker. "
