I worked for 5 years as a Lab Manager in an optical lab. We processed the lenses for glasses. I was a liaison with the prescribing Optometrist, suggesting alternatives for chosen lenses and frames. I assisted with lens material selection from my expertise. Ran and maintained the machines that cut lenses. Repairing and troubleshooting when they failed. I travelled to other states and stores to train, or assist other lab managers as needed. I maintained inventory of both lenses as well as parts for the machines, ensuring we always had on hand anything we may need. I hired and trained new employees
