A small, but well-established technology company requires a Bookkeeper with 5+ years’ experience for accounting and general office administration.

Salary & Benefits

  • 675,000 KSh pa

The Role

Financial Responsibilities:

  • Procurement
  • Invoicing
  • Collections
  • Bill Payment
  • Prepare Monthly Reports
  • Sales Tax reporting
  • Credit Checks
  • Work with Tax Accountant to file Corporate Taxes
  • Bank Statement Reconciliation

Organisational Responsibilities:

  • Maintain an efficient filing system, assuring easy retrieval of documents
  • Maintain email folders for all related accounting and project-based correspondence for easy retrieval
  • Maintain all active contract and project files

HR Responsibilities:

  • Work with outside payroll firm on payroll
  • Maintain employee and payroll records
  • Collect and review timesheets
  • Prepare new hire packages
  • Coordinate employees’ benefits enrolment

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or related discipline, beneficial
  • 5+ years accounting experience
  • Thorough knowledge of relevant IT packages
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Friendly disposition; good phone and people skill
