Polish unemployment figures are due out later today.

It is predicted that the country’s jobless rate declined to 12.3 percent in April.

The unemployment rate in the eastern European nation of 38 million people was down from 12.9 percent in March.

Preliminary data released by the Labour Ministry Monday showed that some 1.97 million people were registered as unemployed at the end of April. That is 101,000 fewer than in March.

The ministry said people found seasonal employment in the construction, farming, forestry, tourism and transport sectors as well as seeking work abroad.
