Vacancy for a Project Engineer in Croatia

Skills Provision is searching for a Project Engineer for a mechanical contracting company in Croatia.

Our client provides services in plumbing, HVAC, prefabrication, and system design. Projects include high-rise residential apartments, commercial buildings, hospitals, and airports.

Location: Split, Croatia

Position: Permanent

Salary & Benefits

• HRK 9,500 p/m
• Benefits package available

The Role

• Build and maintain the product packages based on job specifications.
• Coordinate with the engineering team for the submittal and tracking of technical drawings.
• Request official quotes from subcontractors and consultants for.
• Prepare subcontractor contracts for approval by the Lead Project Manager.
• Conduct weekly site visits to verify installation conforms to submitted product drawings and specifications.
• Attend and assist in preparing for in-house preconstruction start-up meetings.
• Maintain documents and databases.
• Communicate immediately any construction design, delays, cost overruns, or other elements that could give rise to disputes or changes.
• Participate in training team members.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in construction.
• Hold professional qualifications.
• Computer literate.
• Organised and help others as and when required.
• Enjoy working in a busy and vibrant environment.
• Be able to multi-task and set own priorities
• Be a self-starter and able to work with minimum structure and supervision
• Punctual and dependable
• Be able to read and interpret a set of plans and specifications, recognising problems before they occur
• Identify and solve complex construction issues in the field
• Resourceful and diplomatic in finding solutions to problems
