Skills Provision is searching for a Laser Technician for an innovative company in Switzerland.

Our client is an established supplier of lasers and fibre optic solutions.

Location: Bern, Switzerland

Position: Permanent

The Role

Perform final integration testing on all fibre and ultrafast laser systems. This position requires a self-motivated, ambitious, and flexible person with the ability to work in a busy and rapidly expanding environment. You will need to be able to work independently and be expected to assist in the development of documentation and work instructions. You will work with a cross-functional team of engineers and other manufacturing professionals to achieve production goals and assist in troubleshooting problems that may arise in the manufacturing process.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years hands-on experience in laser engineering, ultrafast lasers, fibre optics, or related products.
• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Optics, Physics or a related field.
• Strong background in optical component handling, test and use. Understand optical component specifications.
• Troubleshoot and perform problem isolation on modules and sub-assembly components.
• Able to work with minimal supervision.
• Handle multiple tasks and priorities.
• Experience with fibre splicing, cleaving and re-coaters preferred but not required
• Excellent team player with exceptional communications skills, documentation capability, good attitude and energetic
