Senior Accountant Needed for Role in the United States

Skills Provision is searching for a Senior Accountant for a Nanotechnology company in the United States.

The employing company uses nanotechnology to transform molecular structures in fibres to create unsurpassed performance and comfort.

Salary & Benefits

• $73,450 pa

The Role

• Prepare and transmit payroll.
• Reconcile various general ledger accounts.
• Prepare month-end reports.
• Ensure invoices, expense reports, purchase orders and check requests have proper authorisation and supporting receipts.
• Review coding of vendor invoices and expense reports.
• Ensure timely remittance of critical payments such as rents, utilities, taxes, insurance, and others.
• Answer and respond to vendor payment inquiries.
• Assist in monthly close process including assistance with bank reconciliation and expense accrual analysis.
• Maintenance of fixed asset schedules and files.
• Assist in and prepare use and property tax returns.
• Other ad hoc projects/duties as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business required
• Four or more years’ experience required
• Good maths aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to work for extended hours, when necessary, in order to meet deadlines
• Strong IT skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required
• Attention to detail and neatness critical
• Must have initiative, follow-through and multi-tasking abilities
• Desire to grow professionally as opportunity arises
• Ability to work independently
