Operations Director needed in Kenya

Skills Provision is searching for an Operations Director for a company in Kenya, Africa.

The successful candidate will provide strategic and support-oriented services in diverse areas of day-to-day operations, Finance & Accounts, Human Resources, Legal, Administration and IT.

The Role

The role holder is required to anticipate organisational needs by working closely with the various heads and to translate them into state-of-the-art support strategies, policies, and processes to gain a significant value proposition.

This role demands senior level interfaces with Heads of Conservation, Communication, Fund Raising and support areas. Broad experience in support roles with extensive technical and managerial expertise is required.

Requirements

• Master’s degree with 15 years, stretching experience in Finance and operational management.
• Possess in-depth understanding of policies and their relevance within a business/organisational context.
• Can develop new policies or modify existing ones based on the changing needs or context.
• Present, interpret and clarify complex information (non-routine and qualitative) in one-to-one and group situations to convey variety of messages in a compelling manner.
• Superior public speaking skills, including an ability to work and communicate diplomatically and effectively.
• Can structure and prepare complex guidelines, proposals and reports involving presentation and synthesis of diverse information in a logical and compelling manner.
• Possess specialist knowledge and skills required for providing expert advice at a policy and strategic level.
• A strong team player capable of integrating diverse activities within an evolving environment; must be comfortable with change and leading change within an organisational framework.
• Adaptable, flexible, able to take initiative and prioritise among competing demands.
• Strong editorial ability in English would be added advantage.
• Good knowledge of MS Office.
