Skills Provision is searching for an IT Project Manager with experience in the publishing sector.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for the end-to-end delivery of all projects whilst working with a dynamic and successful team.

Location: London, United Kingdom.

The Role

  • Managing the development and launch of online databases, an e-commerce system, and the website platform.
  • Working with the project team in a hands-on role undertaking business analysis and workshop coordination
  • Ensuring that all content meets e-publishing needs, including new content packages.
  • Developing comprehensive project initiation documents, progress reports, proposals, and requirements documents in a timely manner
  • Sourcing and making decisions on outsourced suppliers, coordinating the tendering the process.
  • Staff resource management
  • Agreeing project timelines, ensuring cost and quality targets are met
  • Managing risks in the development of online projects to ensure a successful outcome
  • Ensuring projects are fully tested attain high quality thresholds



  • Full Life Cycle Project Manager – full lifecycle large Web, CMS implementation, and ideally Database migration and integration projects
  • Recent hands-on management experience including business analysis, running workshops etc.
  • Knowledge of current / evolving media / publishing business e.g changing structures
  • Existing proven knowledge of IT suppliers and technologies, and proven experience of project management and tendering
  • Management of 3rd-parties directly or in-directly
  • Sole management of large web projects
  • eCommerce projects or those where there is sizable eCommerce component
