Skills Provision is searching for Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanics for roles in British Columbia, Canada.

The employing company require skilled, heavy-duty, engineers, at the earliest opportunity. They specialise in the servicing and repair of a wide range of equipment from skid steers to excavators. This organisation has an extensive customer base, with a strong reputation.

Salary

CAD 36.44 to CAD 50.88 per hour. (Hourly rate depends on experience)

The Role

  • Diagnose and fault-find earth-moving/plant equipment.
  • Repair and maintain all equipment to OEM standards/requirements.
  • Carry out routine maintenance as per official guidelines.
  • Undertake planned/preventative maintenance.
  • Ensure all related documentation is up to date.
  • If required work under the supervision of a line manager.
  • Capable of providing an excellent service to all customers.
  • Professionally up-sell where opportunities arise.
  • Carry out other duties as assigned.

 

Candidate Requirements

  • 7+ years of related experience.
  • Hold Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic qualification if applying from within Canada. For international applicants hold a qualification/certification in areas such as Heavy-Duty Mechanic, Heavy-Duty Technician or Diesel Mechanic.
  • General – engine, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical experience.
  • Capable of reading and understanding supporting documentation, including schematics
  • Experience with Can BUS.
  • Main brand experience such as Doosan, Caterpillar, John Deere, Hitachi, Volvo, Komatsu, JCB, Bobcat and Vermeer.
  • Hold a valid car driving license (Class 5 Canadian). International applicants will be offered support by the company in converting.
  • Physically capable.
  • Intermediate level English (written & oral).
  • Personable nature.
  • Hard-working.
  • Industrious.
  • Keen and conscientious outlook.
  • Natural interest in heavy-duty engineering.
