Skills Provision is searching for an Equity Research Analyst to support a financial organisation in Kenya, Africa.

This position is focused on Digital Media.

The Role

• To build and manage an industry leading practice in the identification, evaluation, and promotion of emerging technologies and private companies in the digital media industry.
• The analyst must have the industry knowledge and critical thinking skills.
• Must possess the abilities to author market influencing briefs on sector dynamics and successful business models and to deliver articulate and insightful presentations.
• Must have the organisational and collaboration skills to formulate and maintain detailed sector frameworks and information databases, to create and lead the digital media research team, and to interact with the banking and other business units of the firm.

Requirements

• Six to eight years of professional experience in both (1) digital media related private equity, investment banking, or management consulting, and (2) strategic planning, engineering, or product development at a digital media company (semiconductor, software, hardware, or services).
• An undergraduate degree in computer science or engineering, with preference for a graduate level degree.
• Successful candidates will be the highest quality individuals, with a keen desire to be extremely successful, and will possess a highly developed work ethic and sense of entrepreneurship.
• Deep subject matter expertise is required.
