Engineering Manager Required in Germany

Skills Provision is searching for an Engineering Manager for a company in Germany.

Our client manufactures premium loudspeakers for fixed installation systems.

The Role

• Plan and direct all aspects of mechanical/acoustic engineering activity.
• Ensure all mechanical engineering projects, initiatives, and processes are in conformance with the company’s policies and objectives.
• Design mechanical elements such as enclosures, drivers, grilles, chassis, rigging, horns, and including adhesives, protective and cosmetic finishes, etc.
• Oversee the fabrication and testing of mechanical assemblies during the development process.
• The Mechanical Design Engineer will be instrumental in creating the set of tasks and schedules for all development activities, and ensures those activities are completed on time.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, preferable Masters.
• Minimum of 10 years industry experience.
• Must be familiar with a variety of mechanical engineering concepts, practices, and general procedures.
• Knowledge of a wide variety of manufacturing processes such as extruding, casting, stamping, machining, injection moulding, wood joinery, sheet metal fabrication.
• Exceptional project management skills, a natural leader.
• Fluent in English and German (written & oral).
• Lead and direct the work of other engineers.
• A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
• Instrumental in creating the set of tasks and schedules for all mechanical development activities, and ensures those activities are completed on time.
• Serves as a high-level authority on all mechanical engineering elements.
• Advise the Board of Directors monthly.
• Develop and oversee the development of creative and manufacturable solutions for prototypes and proof of concept models.
• Test and oversee the maintenance of mechanical assemblies.
• Work closely with electrical and acoustic engineers to ensure products meet all requirements.
