Our client is a German based manufacturer of IT products. They require an Electronic Hardware Design Project Engineer to join their team in Berlin.

Experience will be required in a high-volume manufacturing environment for both Hardware & Firmware applications.

The Role

The successful candidate will need significant experience designing both hardware and firmware applications. They will join the New Product Introduction team.

Responsible for New Product Introduction focusing on the electronic design. This role would be dedicated to all “major developments” but also some “limited developments” activities. It would be expected that this role would be focused on electronic design and project managing the functional requirements from initial concept stage through to manufacture.

 

Requirements

  • Educated to Degree level or equivalent in an electronic engineering discipline and/or equivalent relevant experience
  • Working experience in an R&D environment along with managing cross functional / cross business project teams
  • Knowledge of how to take a raw concept design, through the design development phases and into a production environment
  • It is expected that engineer will be able to explore “blue sky” future innovations and new technologies to expand the portfolio
  • Proficient in designing both Hardware and Firmware applications
  • Ability to select and integrate proprietary off the shelf components into designs
  • Experience in the Design of medium / high volume assembled electro/mechanical components
  • German and English speaker
  • Willing to travel
