Skills Provision International is commencing a recruitment drive for Scallop/Fish Processors, for positions in Paignton, Devon, UK.

The employing company process scallops for the domestic and export markets.

Applicants will need to provide a video showing good knife skills.

The Role

• Processing scallops (Pectin Maximus) using a knife
• Cutting for domestic markets (meat fully extracted from the shell) and export markets (meat retained in the cup part of the shell)
• Working in a temperature-controlled environment

The hours of work typically run from 6 am to 4 pm, 5 days a week. Owing to the seasonality and periods of bad weather, in quieter times cleaning of the factory and other jobs associated with seafood production within the factory will be expected.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 years experience in the fishing industry
• Working experience with scallops would be preferred but is not essential as training will be given
• Intermediate English language skills (If applying from outside of the UK a minimum of 4.0 on the IELTS will be needed)
• Adaptable to variable shift patterns
