I started my career as a Software Developer in 2008, working mostly with Java-based frameworks to build web applications. In recent years, I\'ve supplemented my skills in areas like systems administration, UX design, and digital marketing among others.
As a Tech Lead, I help and share what I know so that team members and other stakeholders can solve their daily challenges. I don\'t believe in micro-management, I prefer to make people feel trusted so they can put their unique technical and soft skills into solving our common goal. I also think whatever can be automized should be so. People should focus their time and energy efficiently, in high-quality work and not just busywork.

EPROM/Tech Lead Software Developer.- I support, research, develop and make recommendations in best tools and practices to junior teams in all projects, mainly based in Java, Spring, Grails, and other front-end tools like React JS with MySQL and Oracle relational databases. I have also been in charge of setting up entire Linus-based environments for deploying and maintaining applications (hosted in AWS), setting up web servers, databases, security certificates and groups, backups, system users, url routings, deploying apps, among others.
Freelance projects: I have developed websites, using Shopify, Wordpress and others, integrating and customizing tools and apps. I have also created an entire web application and platform for the Costa Rican Ping Pong Federation and a virtual school platform for the Costa Rican Olympic Committee.
NATIONAL INSTRUMENTS/Software Developer & Analyst.- I supported legacy systems, helped on implementation of tools such as FAST Search Engine and STEP, while working closely with the sales department.
