  • Leading the ship design activity for Arrangements & Outfitting in all new building and conversions projects of various Merchant and big Offshore and Special Vessels.

  • Developing Arrangements & Outfitting design in Wärtsilä Ship Design to best practice, using and developing appropriate processes and tools.
  • Technical support to customer and internal sales team includes advice on day-to-day technical queries, preparation of drawings in AutoCAD, providing supporting documents, reverse engineering etc.
  • Proposal generation support to sales team for company's Exhaust Gas Cleaning Systems range products includes preliminary work scope, pipe length  and weight calculation for such applications, preparation of customized solution for each enquiry, rendering and marketing of subject customized solution, checking and confirming the work scope with customers, factory and shipyard, submission of proposal to customers via Sales team.
  • Active member in cross functional teams including, ship design management team, product development locally and globally, exhaust gas cleaning product development team and lead project engineer for integration of all marine environmental products into ship design for new building and refits.
  • Managing and executing on board inspections of vessel, defining the reengineering required and the scope of work for future conversion, provided solutions and executed the basic, concept design and alteration for all the ship systems including general design, outfitting, machinery, diagrams, preliminary steel structure, weight estimation, pipe routing, rendering, marketing, market research.
  • Tendering projects to shipyards, coordinating the projects within multidisciplinary teams, attending multiple factory and shipyard acceptance tests & inspections on behalf of owners for several new building projects around the world.
  • Liaising with customers, subcontractors, shipyards, classifications, and coordinating engineering work between various disciplines, supporting new business & market development work.
  • Attending several internal & external training/courses and learning by doing to improve my leadership and project management skills as well to stay up to date with new rules, innovations regarding machinery, chemical process, power plants, dual-fuel technology and process, LNG process, SOx, NOx, SCR and offshore vessel and platform engineering standards and market requirement
