Short Bio:

Work performed: To coordinate and supervise all activities regarding Quality Assurance of steel cylinders for prestress core concrete pipes and special fittings for the “Great Man Made River Project”. These includes monitoring and conducting the team QC-welding engineers. Elaborating and aproval tests for different WPS according with AWS Standards. Daily routine welding procedures and testing of weldings such as: dimensional checks, welding materials storage and handling, fit-up, welding parameters, final visual examination according to the aproved WPS. Periodicaly, providing support to the engineering department for carying out the PQR, WPS and welders qualification according to AWS D1.1 and D1.3. Coordinate all welding trials and mechanical testing of welding procedure qualifications. Preparing and elaborating all quality documentation and records for owner acceptance. All activities have been conducted according to AWS, AWWA, ASTM, ASME, API and ISO. Qualified NDT level II.

Work performed: Supervising the production of various steel structures (pressure vessels, piping, containers, scaffolds, bridges assemblies, crane booms and pipe fittings).
