Key Achievements:

• Successfully carrying out detailed surveys of the electrical and mechanical systems (HVAC) and the pumped chilled water systems within buildings on site
• Producing drafts through extensive use of AutoCAD, demonstrating a comprehensive working knowledge of the site BMS control system

• Made site visits with subcontractors, quality assurance and quality control personnel to confirm building work was progressing according to design, utilising the correct materials and best practice
• Isolated faults and helped in the redesign with the USA corps of engineers, reviewing prefabricated building designs for hospitals and replacement facilities

• Rebuilt the electrical systems for government structures to improve the electrical and power supplies, including changing undersized cabling, installing backup generators and automatic distribution/synchronisation systems for the seamless integration of multiple power systems

• Served as principle electrical project engineer in the reconstruction of Iraq, which involved working on diverse projects across the country
• Organised meetings with local Iraqi officials to explain project details and dealt with queries to ensure their co-operation in the execution of projects

• Utilised AutoCAD to produce technical drafts and designed ventilation and air conditioning system using AutoCAD and heat load programs

• As Field Engineer, visited numerous sites operating BMS systems and carried out site surveys of all mechanical services
• Observed the operation of ventilation systems, mechanical systems and checked on plant rooms

• Ensured the inclusion of safe working practices and systems at the planning stage and prepared and implemented safe method statements to prevent unsafe conditions or practices
• Installed power distribution panels and designed electrical supply for the water pumps
• Utilised AutoCAD to design electrical power feeding systems

• Managed buildings and facilities problems for Natwest branches, producing reports and documents on an going basis

• Monitored standards to ensure compliance with all necessary regulations
• Supervised the installations of HV and LV distribution systems, ensuring compliance with legislative, design and financial targets
• Designed, installed and maintained air conditioning, heating and control systems (VRV/VAV)
