Duties include
– Ensure all work performed meets the requirement of the relevant welding standard and applicable specifications
– Control or enter operating instructions into robot teach pendants or computers to adjust and start welding machine
– Set up, operate and tend welding machines that join or bond using PTA or GTAW welding process
– Correct problems by adjusting controls or by stopping machines using holding devices
– Inspect, measure or test completed metal work pieces to ensure conformance to relevant document in the process instruction, using measuring and testing devices
– Record operational information on specified production reports
-Start, monitor and adjust robotic welding programs or parameters
-Read drawings, process instruction, procedures and production schedules
– Comply with all company procedures
– Assist other areas when not busy or when other priorities are identified
– Assist welders to prepare, set up, weld, strip and clean down all workshop jobs when required
– Work within your team environment complimenting good performance and aid workshop team of comman
– Carry out other work within your areas of competenc
