PROJECT ENGINEER - August 2010 – Present - Dar al Riyadh Consultants - King Abdullah Financial District, Project Value – USD 5 Billion, Riyadh, KSA.

King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD) is a large, mixed use development which include High Rise Towers for offices, hotels, residential units, shops, cultural/entertainment facilities & associated infrastructure works.

  • With the ability to communicate effectively and efficiently, responsible for interacting on a regular basis with the client, field personnel and senior management, generating technical reports and documents, preparation of correspondence and meeting minutes, tracking of project milestones and financial deadlines, looking after the day-to-day responsibilities of the project.
  • Study and review of design drawings & shop drawings, method statements, material submittals and assist the contractor in determining construction methods & materials.
  • Carry out scheduled and unscheduled HSE inspections and reported on any identified non-conformances for necessary action and rectification.
CIVIL ENGINEER - July 2008 – May 2010 -  Al-Ain Consulting Engineers -  Al-Mamzar Tower (4B + G.F. + 50 storey), Project Value – USD 150 M, Sharjah, UAE.

The development was planned to comprise 95,000 m² of built-up area over 50 levels with three components; serviced apartments, commercial offices, and five-star hotel Tyre Recycling Facility (TRF), Project Value – USD 35 Million, Sharjah, UAE.

It was an industrial project of total project area nearly 30,000 m² of which the covered area was 18,000 m², and included Admin Building, Steel Structure (Main Process & Warehouse area), roads & landscaping.
  • Attended meetings & competently communicated with clients, contractors, major asset owners & stakeholders.
  • Handled the documentations related to the project, prepared weekly & monthly project reports.
  • Conducted day to day site inspections for all the survey, civil & structural works & made certain that the HSEQ policies & procedures were not violated at any stage.
EXECUTIVE ENGINEER - May 2007 – June 2008 -  Warid Telecom (Pvt) Ltd. -  Phase V & Phase VI Project (Telecom Towers), Lahore, Pakistan.

281 towers were built for Phase V & over 500 for Phase VI across Punjab which included self supported towers, guyed mast towers, monopoles, water tank sites, roof mounts etc.
  • Ensured all civil works follow the specifications set by the company & maximum quality possible was achieved, identified snags & reported to the concerned.
  • Coordinated & communicated with the management, team members, vendors & the sub-contractors for the preparation of daily, weekly & monthly project progress reports.
  • Attended several joint visits to sites with other operators regarding site sharing project thereby developed and maintained strong contacts at all levels with other operators & vendors.
PROJECT ENGINEER - March 2006 – May 2007 -  Horizon Construction (Pvt) Ltd. -  Pak-Arab Housing Project, Kasur Road, Lahore, Pakistan.

Design & construction of 24 houses with the covered area of each house at around 3000 ft². River Edge Housing Scheme, Multan Road, Lahore, Pakistan

Development which included infrastructure works namely roads, boundary walls, light poles, sewer system, water tanks, underground pipes for future services for the whole scheme.
  • Lead the team to execute & manage the project within the budget and time cycle. Prepared daily program of work and identified the priorities.
  • Prepared project variation reports, bill of quantities & interim payments and forwarded the same to the accounts departments for further follow up.
  • Monitored daily site activities & prepared daily progress, HSE & Quality reports.
SITE ENGINEER - Oct 2004 – Feb 2006 -  Sachal Engineering Works (Pvt) Ltd. -  Lahore-Faisalabad Dual C/W (BOT) Project, Sheikhupura, Pakistan.

The project consisted of 16 pre-stressed girder bridges ranging from 20m ~ 120m length over canals & rivers.
  • Supervised execution of site works, assisted the consultants during their inspections.
  • Ensured that all quality control, environmental and health & safety requirements were met.
  • Prepared bar-bending schedules & daily progress reports.
  • Prepared the Interim Payment Certificates (IPC’s) and got them approved/verified by the consultants & the client.
  • Estimated/calculated material requirements & placed order to the procurement department.
TRAINEE ENGINEER - March 2004 – Sept 2004 -  Saadullah Khan & Brothers (SKB).   Doctor’s Hospital Under Pass Project , Project Value – USD 1.94 M, Lahore, Pakistan.   Works included construction of the underpass & expansion of all roads leading to & around the underpass. The project was completed in 6 months.
  • General site supervisory duties for activities like Formwork, reinforcement erection and concreting of Foundations for Bridge & Deck Slabs, Lighting Pole & Gantries.
  • Prepared Bar-bending schedules.
  • Assisting senior engineers in other sections of the project.
SITE ENGINEER/QUANTITY SURVEYOR (Part Time) - Feb 2001 – Feb 2004 - Bukhari Associates – Designers, Architects, Consultants. -  Construction of various Residential & Commercial Projects, Lahore, Pakistan.
  • Design & Construction supervision of various Residential Houses & Commercial Buildings.
  • Supervised subcontractor's work to ensure buildings were of an acceptable standard and were completing according to schedule.
  • Estimated the quantities of material required for the building projects and ordered these from building suppliers.
