• Maintenance: Following the established Planned Maintenance Schedule of the Company in accordance with their regulations and norms. Making sure that all the relevant tug boats, pilot boats, work boats and auxiliary machineries (shore or offshore based) are kept in good working condition. Also repairing and maintaining all the machineries on Tugboats, Pilot boats,Work boats and shore side auxillaries. Fault finding and rectifying defects, raising defects and fixing them in time,basic electrical repairs, liasing with superintendent for planning of dry docking, maintaing oily resideues onboard and tank levels etc.

• Logistics & Supervision: Making sure all the spares are available on time for overhaul while supervising the work management with a team of two more people. Ensuring the logistical machinery is smooth flowing to avoid any delays

• Managing & Timekeeping: Raising purchase orders, creating enquiries for quotation and approving it with line manager, placing order for spares and machineries, taking delivery of goods or returns handling & also handling the time schedules for any job required

• Machineries Under Charge: Presently I undertake the management as well as maintenance of

– Three tug boats owned by the company of which two are azimuth stern drives 3000/1500BHP and one is twin screw type dog class tug 1000plus BHP

– Two interceptor class pilot boats housing MH-D12 Volvo Penta Marine Diesel Engines

– One Work Boat with twin Ford Sabre 225HP commercial engines with jet nozzle propulsion

– Two Pilot Rib Boats with outboard Honda 150HP engines

– All the auxiliary and propulsion machinery onboard the tug boats including compressors, pumps, purifier, generators, alternators,air bottles, harbour generator, deck winch etc
