Youth and Mental Health Support Worker:

Having worked in the Mental Health sector for two of the UK’s largest Mental Health charities and Specialist Education Services, I have gained diverse experience in the field of Youth Work. I have experience within an Educational setting, assisting vulnerable Young People in School and college life, as well as in supported residential environments.

I have worked both day and night shifts working within a multidisciplinary team of Therapist’s, Psychologists and Counsellors. I have a wide range of experience in the field from supporting individuals on the Autistic Spectrum; Severe to mild Asperges. As well as supporting individuals in the recovery phase of Mental illness; ranging from Personality Disorders to Schizophrenia and Depression. This diversity taught me how different every individual is and the importance of devising unique support plans for each individual.

I am committed to continuing a career in the field of Youth Work and passionate in finding work that enables me to support individuals in reaching their fullest potential and thriving in life.

-Supporting adults in the recovery stage of their Mental Health illness’s (Major depression, Schizophrenia, Personality Disorder and Psychosis) using a highly sensitive and professional approach.

-Providing awareness about Mental Health with a wide range of techniques and coping strategies available for clients.

-Organising external support groups for clients to attend and supporting them in these. Art therapy and Music therapy sessions, mindfulness/meditation and positive talking groups.
