I have more eleven (11) years of experience in the field of Infrastructure development projects of various locations within Pakistan and UAE as well. I have expertise in planning, design and top supervision of Infrastructure projects which include water supply, irrigation, sewerage and storm water drainage development projects. Recently I am working as Deputy Director Municipal Services in Directorate of Urban Policy & Strategic Planning, Planning & Development Department Government of Sindh Pakistan.

I completed my graduation in Civil Engineering from Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, Jamshoro Pakistan in 2003.

I started my career in August 2003 as Site Inspector – Civil Works with Pakistan Drainage Consultant, a joint venture of different international and national consultancy firms such as NESPAK, NDC, EUROCONSULT etc. In November, 2005 I joined M/s. Osmani and Company and worked on infrastructure development projects of water supply, sewerage and storm water drainage in Pakistan, I was involved in planning, design of water and wastewater systems and validation of the site works as per construction drawings and specifications. In January, 2008, I started my career with M/s. EA Consulting Pvt. Ltd. (formerly Engineering Associates) based in Karachi, Pakistan and worked on infrastructure development projects of water supply, irrigation, sewerage, and storm water drainage within Pakistan and UAE as well. The one among the major project was planning and design of irrigation and storm water drainage system for 18 kms length of Northern Ring Road from Dubai to Al-Ain.

During January 2007 to December 2009 I completed my Master of Engineering degree in Environmental Engineering in the evening classes from NED University of Engineering and Technology, Karachi, Pakistan.

Responsibilities Planning, design and top supervision of water supply, sewerage and storm water drainage works.

The scope of work included design of open drains for secondary cities and small cities; sanitary and storm sewers for urban areas of Pakistan and Al-Ain, UAE using design standards and guidelines of local agencies for local projects and Al-Ain Municipality (AAM) and Abu Dhabi Sewerage Service Company (ADSSC) for UAE projects. Carried out planning and design of 18 kms Northern Ring Road including 05 interchanges, from Al-Ain to Dubai, UAE as per Al-Ain Municipality Standards.

A project of detailed design of Water Supply, Sewerage and Drainage system for housing scheme of Ministry of Housing, Damam, Saudi Aarabia, sublet by Parsons Abu Dhabi was also carried out which included the complexity of high ground water, at 2 meters from ground surface.

I was also involved in planning and design of water supply facilities including water intake works, water networks, overhead tanks, underground reservoirs pump stations as per approved standards by the Clients. Further sewerage systems for above mentioned projects were also undertaken which included design of combined wastewater drains, sanitary sewers, sewage pumping stations, as per approved standards by Clients in Pakistan and ADSSC in Al-Ain.

Further, I was also involved in making specifications method of measurements and BOQ’s. The design of water supply, sewerage and storm water system were carried out through design software such as EPANET, WaterCAD, SewerCAD. The job also included the preparation of working drawings & Layout Plans by using AutoCAD software.
