Profile

I am a hard working and dependable individual who is a qualified and experienced scaffolder. Following the end of my last contract, I am now looking for other scaffolding work and am available to start immediately. I consider myself to be a highly self-motivated and diligent employee, who takes pride in the work that I do. I am fully flexible regarding my working hours and location and am confident that my former employer will vouch for my sound work ethic.

Career History

2012 – 2015
D.L. Scaffolding, Glasgow – Scaffolder

Worked for a small scaffolding company to fulfil a variety of contracts across the central belt area. My responsibilities included the safe and timely construction / deconstruction of different systems of scaffolding. This is a very physical job which also involves loading / unloading equipment and having a high regard for health and safety procedures at all times. I sound understanding of drawings for jobs was also key to my role.

Company was also a sub-contractor to “Serious”, an events company who provide staging for festivals and music events. I worked on a number of events, including the creation of a ‘supernova’ stage in George Square for Radio 1’s “Big Weekend”, as well as a large TV platform in Parkhead for the Commonwealth Games, amongst many other specialist, bespoke builds.

Tyre and exhaust fitter for a busy garage chain, where I was responsible for general car maintenance (incl. brakes, steering, suspension and services), checking and maintaining stock levels, provision of customer service and general housekeeping duties.

Additional Information & Interests

I am currently a volunteer for an organisation called Waverly Care and have taken part in variety of fundraising events, including sponsored runs.
