MANAGER (MECHANICAL MAINTENANCE)

Work Profile : Presently I am working as mechanical maintenance manager in EAF area of steel melting plant. My work contains,

• Maintenance of EAF (150T), LF (150T) and other related equipment like Carbon dispensing system, Oxygen valve stand, wire feeder, LTC and necessary related spares.

• Maintenance of Material feeding system & Fume extraction system.

• Maintenance of EOT cranes from capacity of 12 tons to 320 tons.

• Preparation and maintaining spares used in EAF & LF.

• Execute Preventive, Predictive and Corrective maintenance.

• Handling shift activity.

• Active participation in plant troubleshooting as well as plant start-up and shutdown activities.

• Equipment inspection / checking to know malfunction or deterioration.

• Continuous reduction of maintenance cost through:

a) Reducing the maintenance itself (Maintenance Prevention)

b) Improvement of maintenance procedures & standards.

c) Improvement of design (Simplification & Modification)

d) Reduction in inventory cost by standardization of equipment / spares.

• Doing regularly FMEA projects as well as QC projects to solve problems on shop floor.

• Doing Poka-Yokee, Checklist preparation for mistake proofing activity.

• Core team member for implementing and maintaining 5’s methodology in plant.

• Notifying all the jobs done in SAP R/3 PM module.

• Scheduling shutdown orders and confirmation after scheduling (using SAP R/3).

• Maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

• Field training of subordinates.
