DESCRIPTION OF MY EXPERIENCE
MANUFACTURING: Experience on heavy duty machinery to manufacture pipes for oil rigs and pipelines around the world. The pipes are made from sheets of different sizes that are rolled to a pipe and the seams get welded automatically by fusion process and cooled immediately by cold water.
Duties included looking after the boilers, water systems, water cooling towers, pumps, recycling water system, mechanical truck sides and forklift vehicles.

Duties: To refurbish three tea factories (Southdown, Clearwater and Ross Comon) Refurbishing of all 3 tea factories and farming equipment.
Refurbishing conveyor belts, dryers, bearings, rollers, fans, boiler and steam pipes. Reconditioned all tractors, tea plucking hydraulic machines, trailers and farming equipment. Reconditioned the factory structure, machine shop and backup generator. Reconstruct workshop and implement safety equipment. Refurbished all hydraulic components, hoses and valves on tractors, tea plucking machines, harrows, etc.
Reasons for leaving: Successfully completed 4 months contract.

Occupation: Preventative Maintenance Engineer.
Duties: Collecting and organizing information for all relevant data base input on equipment and machinery to assist on preventative maintenance and to avoid unexpected breakdowns while ensuring all machines and equipment stay within their parameters. Help on maintenance and repairs in the absence of the maintenance workforce. Maintenance and repairs on hydraulic power packs, bearings, heavy hammer mills, boilers, furnaces, pumps, air fans, belts conveyors, chain conveyors and screw conveyors. The role includes all aspects of electrics, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical.
Observation: The responsibilities cover: ordering and budgeting of spares, tools, equipment and consumables. Completed a course on fire fighting safety and first aid
Reasons for leaving: Emigrated from Scotland back to Africa.
