Work Experience

Current Employment Job Title: Major Project and Specification Manager
Jaga Heating Products UK, Bromyard Road, Ledbury,
Jan 2015 – Present

My new role within Jaga enables me to expand my expertise across  our vast range of high quality products.

I am now responsible for the growth and specification of all Jaga  products in the Midlands, North of England and Scotland.

In order to perform this task I am in constant contact with Architects, Consultants, Main Contractors and Contractors in order for me to ensure that every stage of the project runs smoothly.

This will be tough but at the same time very achievable. This will take the annual Jaga turnover from £7m to £10.

Now I am focused purely on generating specifications for our Demand Controlled Ventilation System and Fan Assisted Heating and Cooling Systems, I am now finishing 2015 with a solid specification pipeline of around £1.7m (75% ventilation). Obviously it takes some time for these projects to come to fruition but I am now in a position to significantly increase my current sales of £700k (90% Ventilation) in 2016

Previous Employment Job Title: Technical Sales Manager
Jaga Heating Products UK
June 2007 – Dec 2014

Jaga are a leading manufacturer in the heating industry and provide a range of high quality of wall-mounted, free standing and in-floor  heating and cooling solutions.

I am responsible for all specifications, design, installation  assistance and after sales assistance of all dynamic products in the north of England.

Dealing with both Mechanical & Electrical contractors and consultants.

I was not only tasked with increasing sales of our Demand Controlled School Ventilation System and Fan Assisted Heating Products but also to have a major influence in developing these products to ensure that we were providing our clients with both the most efficient products possible at the correct price.

In 2007 sales of the School Ventilation System were £0. Initially the product we had was very unreliable and difficult to install. Despite this sales in the North increased to around £200 – £250k in the first year.

Over the next few years the product was in constant development until we arrived at the current version. During this time I was also responsible for generating our “Ventilation in Schools CPD” which has proved to be a very valuable tool and I am responsible for delivering this presentation in the north of England.

Being tasked with being involved at every stage of a project meant that the amount of time available to prospect for new business was limited, this meant that the annual sales did not increase as quickly as we would have liked. In the North of England we managed to increase sales to around £600k before the recession hit and most of the BSF School initiatives were disbanded.

By the end of 2014 we saw a major increase in School and Commercial build and as such we managed to increase northern sales to around £750 – £800k

Actionair Job Title: Northern Area Sales Manager
South Street, Whitstable, Kent

Actionair provides solutions for smoke and fire control as well as waterside control fan coil units.

I was responsible for all specifications, design and installation  assistance of all smoke and fire control systems in the north of  England. Dealing with both Mechanical & Electrical contractors and consultants.

As this was my first venture into the sales side of the industry I was apprehensive as to how I would perform but I quickly settled in and began to make sales. My background experience enabled me to be able to talk to the consultants on a technical level and also to assist the contractors on a more practical level.

In my first year my target was approx £1,000,000 which was easily achieved. The following year the target was the same but this time my sales were approx 200% of target.
