Responsibilities : Review and inspection of various deliverables like P&ID, System Configuration drawings for Automation, control system philosophy, review of profiles of sub contractor for Instrumentation and Automation work, etc.

Name of Project : HUSSAIN SAGAR LAKE & CATCHMENT AREA IMPROVEMENT PROJECT

Client Name : HYDERABAD METROPOLITIAN DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY (HMDA)

Location : HYDERABAD, A.P, INDIA

The project has been undertaken under JBIC Loan Component for HUDA. NJS Consultants are the PMC for the project. The scope involved setting up of 4 STP’s of capacities ranging from 5 MLD to 30 MLD around the periphery of Hussain Sagar Lake in Hyderabad. The STP’s are currently under operation. All the STP’s will be fully automated with PLC and SCADA system.

Responsibilities: Site Inspection for ICA work including review of AS-Built drawings and SAT, Testing of Control System (PLC & SCADA) as per Functional Design specifications.

Work Profile Description:

1) NJS Engineers India Pvt Ltd (A wholly owned subsidiary of NJS Consultants Co. Ltd., Japan), Hyderabad.

• Involved in Installation & commissioning of Field Instruments like Pressure Gauges, Pressure Transmitters, Flow meters, Rota meters, Level switches, Ultrasonic level transmitters, General Site Inspection. etc.

• Installation & Operation of analytical instruments like DO meters, Chlorine Analyzer, MLSS analyzer, Phosphorus Analyzer, etc.

• Review and inspection of various deliverables like P&ID, Instrument Index, Instrument cable schedule, Hook ups drawings, PLC Panel diagrams, Control Circuit diagram, Instrument loop wiring Diagrams, Cable Routing and Cable layout , AS-Built drawings, Control System philosophy, Electrical Cable layouts, lighting layouts and Panel drawings .

• Conducting SAT (Site Acceptance Test), testing of Control System (PLC & SCADA) as per Functional Design specifications.

• Preparation of BOQ for Instrumentation and Automation from Tender documents (Specifications) for billing in various new upcoming projects.

• Assistance in Preparation of BID documents.

• Preparation of System Configuration drawings for Automation from Tender documents (Specifications) for various new upcoming projects.

2) Varroc Engineering Pvt Ltd, Aurangabad

• Part of Planning & implementing Preventive/Predictive breakdown maintenance of various machines & equipments in the plant to increase machine up time reliability.

• Exposure of operation/installation of PLC & Drives, Small & medium size panels, etc.

• Participation & involvement in Automation & New project development.

• Coordinating material/spare parts planning related activity encompassing identification of vendors, requirement specification & offer evaluation through SAP.

• Interacting with Vendors, co-coordinating among team members. Development and support in new project works.

• Procurement assistance work like technical queries, technical bid analysis and review of Vendor data including Vendor final documentation.

• Hands on experience in handling FAT & SAT activities, Handled complete documentation work for Calibration of various instruments from GODREJ & BOYCE.

Process Instrumentation/Automation/Construction/Design Work

• Possess basic knowledge about field Instruments/Devices like Sensors, Transducers, Transmitters and Control Valves for Pressure, Temperature, Level, Flow, etc.

• Aware about communication/network protocols and concepts like Foundation Field bus basics, Profibus, HART & SMART Devices.

• Procurement assistance work like technical queries, technical bid analysis and review of Vendor data including Vendor final documentation.
