Joined Arabian Bemco Contracting company as Factory Manager – Production, to oversee all aspects the Factory Operations – all manufacturing process and to supervise all departmental functions in an effort to create a predetermined amount of production output in the most efficient and cost-effective manner. In lieu with my past Project execution experience, I was entrusted with an additional task to handle their critical stage – Quarrya Power plant project execution as Project Manager – to complete a portion of 2 Blocks – 4 & 5 Units construction in order to support the main Project completion since January 2013 up to July 2013.

Brief responsibility as a Project Manager, typically to manage Qurayyah power plant projects through dedicated project teams as Owners Engineer, Clients representative or EPC/EPCM.  Be responsible for guiding the team in the preparation of offers/ quotations to clients, participation in the tenders and following up on enquiries to convert them into work orders. with familiarization – international standards such as ASTM, ASME, ANSI, API etc., governing different aspects of steel fabrication and also production machinery, equipment and machine tools handling.

 Be responsible for identifying costs such as indirect, direct, fixed, variable, capital etc in order to arrive at actual unit cost of production for all processes involved in the steel fabrication operations in consultation with Accounts Department so that preparation of estimates for both internal and external clients.

 Be responsible to manage the factory Production with Fully familiarization with all types of advanced steel fabrication machineries like CNC machines and modern welding technology including usage of Submerged Arc Welding (SAW) automatic welding machines with advanced production software’s especially Spoolgen and AutoCAD 3D detailing and other CAD adds-on specifically used for steel fabrication operations an wherever possible, ensure full usage of already installed Spoolgen software in all production planning and cutting drawings and arrange training of personnel, if required

 To Standardize an appropriate organization structure for the Factory to enhance efficiency and develop roles and responsibilities for all employees and able to guide the team of workshop managers, production planning engineers, supervisors and technicians in process improvement techniques and continuous improvement programs and to conduct periodical production review meetings and prepare MIS reports for executive management.

 To Achieve monthly production targets and meet the delivery requirements of various project sites and establish productivity norms for various processes to monitor productivity. and to Monitor and control costs as per the approved budget to achieve profitability targets with familiarization with computerized and user-friendly tracking system and material management at the factory shop floor including material traceability systems and inventory management.

 Be responsible to propose improvement schemes for enhancing current production processes, control wastes, minimize reworks & defects and maintain high quality standards as demanded by the clients and to Conduct regular field visits and follow-up with the fabrication teams at various project sites.

I have been hired by this company as the Management level position by year 2007, to handle their Central Workshop facility for Plant Maintenance of the Steel Plant operations as well as to establish a new Fabrication facility with in Qatar Steel, in order to facilitate their timely New replacement of Fabrication requirements Like – Structural / Piping / Equipment renovation as on when required which were being outsourced since years.

To manage the Central work shop for the effective Maintenance for all plant Machineries/Equipment and to execute the planned monthly repairs as well as the planned Plant shutdowns, and to plan effective Shut down plans by reviewing all Mechanical, Electrical & Instrumentation support requirements and to allot the required man power sources and effective management.

To develop an independent profit centre work shop by establishing a New setup – Fabrication & Welding shop – at Qatar steel in order to undertake all type of Fabrication & exchange items – Piping/ All Heavy Structural Assemblies / Modifications – piping, platforms including Repair and machining of Worn out rollers by qualified welders as per ASME sec IX for materials P1, P8 & P45 materials.

To attend effective repairing of all Furnace equipment like Main shell Panels, Cooling boxes, Tandish, Ladle & Ladle cover repairs with the established repair procedures with in Qatar steel.

To handle their awarded Solid Waste collection & disposal Project by JUBAIL ROYAL COMMISSION – K.S.A for 3 years, I was hired by the company with the approval of Royal commission authority as Maintenance Manager Position to handle their huge fleets – 100 vehicles & Trucks and around 50 Earth Moving Equipment used for this project execution. This position is of great significance for this project to which I am wholly responsible for the entire upkeep and Maintenance of the Royal Commission provided Maintenance Work shop facility for the effective administration to organize the works to ensure that all maintenance operations are seamlessly completed.

To manage the Maintenance department in order to maintain a huge fleet of Royal commission owned Vehicles, Trucks & Equipment used for the Solid Waste Collection & Disposal project and to up keep the same in good operational condition to coop up the S.W.C.D project for the timely requirements.

To manage the entire Production department activities depends on the nature of production system: mass production, process production or batch production for the effective control over different department – Machine shop, Fabrication & Assembly, Painting shop & Tool room with R&D facility operations.
