Short Bio:

Having worked in Afghanistan as a contractor for two years, I am looking to continue my career in something similar in either the construction, mining or facilities management. EXPERIENCE

PACKAGE MANAGER, PAYE STONEWORK & RESTORATION LTD., ENGLAND – 2014

Also as part of my industrial placement, working in the capacity of Package Manager as a trade contractor at the redevelopment of Battersea Power Station, London. This project saw me run the package of Investigative Openings of Steel Work from start to finish, where I programmed the works, sourced sub contractors and led the works through to the final report to the client.

SITE MANAGER, PAYE STONEWORK & RESTORATION LTD., ENGLAND — 2013 – 2014

As part of my industrial placement, working in the capacity of site manager for the redevelopment of the former Middlesex Hospital in London, W1. My role would see me orchestrating works and the general day to day management of operatives and engineers on site. The project raised many considerations, particularly logistical, due being in the heart of Fitzrovia in the West End of London.

LABOURER (SEMI SKILLED), STONEWOOD BUILDERS LTD., ENGLAND — 2010 – 2013

I have been working with Stonewood Builders on a variety of interesting projects from small extensions to new builds and more recently renovation of of listed buildings. I have picked up many skills working for Stonewood and I have been very fortunate in being offered work to suit my university timetable.

This company has given me an insight into this industry which will benefit me in my career.

LABOURER, SCHOFIELD RENOVATION SPECIALISTS, FRANCE — MAY – DECEMBER 2009

This employment, although relatively brief, was a good insight into building techniques in renovation and barn conversions. It was particularly good experience for the work required from transforming a barn into a gîte.

CIVIL WORKS SUPERVISOR, ES-KO INTERNATIONAL, AFGHANISTAN — 2007 – 2009

Based at Camp Whiskey, Ghor Province which gave me invaluable experience in construction and facilities management, particularly in such a remote location. My duties were to oversee the local workforce in various construction project including services, offices, and a charitable project at the local hospital where we built a new wing and installed a soak away/septic tank system.
