Description of works:

Insulation / Fireproofing Inspector:

• Check ,understand and review the insulation and fireproofing project specification and ITP which will follow according to the work in the project

• Check the isometric drawing and proper documents to be insulated and correct code system

• Monitor weather condition before the work starts as per specification

• Ensure that the equipment or tools to be used and insulation materials {Polyisocyanurate (PIR), flexible elastomeric foams (FEF) ,rock wool and cellular glass } are used from approved manufacturers with approved banding, sealant, screws, rivet , cold shoe, vapor stops etc. to be used in the project

• Ensure that the application of insulation is carried out as per ITP and approved project specification

• Ensure the surface preparation is free from dust, oil and other contaminants before to start

• Monitor and check layer by layer during application of insulation and correct thickness

• Check the completeness of the insulation and final cladding with complete sealant

• Check the isometric drawing and proper documents to be fireproof and correct limits and thickness

• Ensure that the tools or equipment to be used and fireproofing materials {cementitious and intumescent materials ( isolatek and fendolite ) , dense and lightweight concrete } are used from approved manufacturers with approved wire mesh and pig tails pin

• Check and record the surface to be fireproof with correct painting and must be clean free from dust and other contaminants

• Monitor the application with correct mixture and ensure the step by step way as per specification

• Monitor the curing time interval and check the surface after application

• Witness the hardness test procedure as per project specification

• Check and record the total appearance of the surface after application prior for final painting

Painting / Coating Inspector:

• Check ,understand and review the painting, coating and wrapping project specification and ITP which will follow according to the work in the project

• Carry out inspection of surface profile, chloride contamination test as per applicable standards

• Monitor weather and equipment condition during painting, coating operation

• Ensure that paint materials are used from approved paint manufacturers with valid pot life

• Ensure that the application of coating is carried out as per technical data sheet of the manufacturer and approved painting specification

• Ensure the proper time intervals between intermediate coats for proper chemical and mechanical bonding

• Witness / checking of DFT (dry film thickness) and holiday detection / pin hole detections and Ensure the calibrated testing equipment is used

• Monitor surface preparation, application of bonding agent , elastomeric , wrapping and curing operation (for neoprene coating) on the pipe

• Witness post curing tests such as hardness, spark test, sound test, adhesion test, visual and dimensional check etc. on the pipe

• Monitor surface preparation , application of heat shrink sleeves, holiday test on field weld joints

• Monitor surface preparation , wrapping and holiday detection and doping on offshore pipeline
