CAREER HISTORY

2013 – Present LetsXL

IT Support Assistant at LetsXL Tenants Referencing. My main role is to provide IT support for the numerous departments within the company. Recently I have planned a new Network Infrastructure for the Referencing department in order to make the working environment more practicable and will be implementing this very soon. Also I am in the middle of upgrading the server to SBS 2008 and looking to integrate Exchange 2007 onto it. Other jobs include;

• General maintenance of PCs and other IT based equipment.

• Networking.

• Invoicing using SQL queries.

• Maintaining and updating our Intranet site.

• SQL/Database support.

• Exchange/Outlook support.

2012 – 2013 Conwy County Council

Completed 320 hours of unpaid work with the IT department for Conwy County Council, this work went towards my degree and it gave me some very good experience in numerous areas of IT Support.

Was a member of the 3rd Battalion the Parachute Regiment, during my time here I completed 2 operational tours of Afghanistan and numerous overseas exercises. I started out as an infantry soldier and then became a member of the signals platoon where I spent the remainder of my time. Was told I was about to go on a promotional course, however at that time I had my heart set on leaving to try new things whilst I was still young.
