Professional Experience

 Current Employer: Apollo Hospitals International Limited, Ahmedabad (Faber Sindoori Management Services, Chennai)
Designation: Senior Biomedical Engineer – Reporting To: Manager (Biomedical Engineering)
Period: Working since September 2012

Responsibilities: I am responsible for equipment upkeep for the Radiology, ICUs and OTs.

In addition to regular equipment maintenance I am working as a second in line for the department and handling;

 Calibration of Equipments.

 Overall Equipment availability.

 Part of purchase committee, for finalizing the equipments to be procured.

 Looking after the adherence of SOPs formulated to keep up with NABH standards.

 Actively generating the Quality Management data (Quality Indicators: Equipment Downtime and Uptime) for the department of Biomedical Engineering as a part of NABH requirement.

 Looking after the maintenance and upkeep of CMMIS (Computerized Maintenance Management Information System) a proprietary software for Biomedical Engineering Maintenance Department of FSMS.

 In past tenure with Apollo Hospitals, we have gone through NABH assessments (2 for the Hospital and 1 for the Blood Bank) and subsequent NABL assessment as well, with no Non-compliance received for the biomedical equipment care.

 SOP formulation for protocols to be followed during maintenance procedures.

 Complete Complaint Management & Documentation related to Equipment Maintenance.

 Part of Purchase specification / Vendor Selection for Instruments.

Apart from all these I have been an active participant for establishing essential procedures and protocols, necessary for pursuing NABH certification.
