Short Bio:

I am looking for a role where I can make a real impact in the business and build on my existing skill sets to progress my career aspirations. My enthusiasm and determination will make me an asset to any employer.

Through my work experience and a Graduate in mechanical engineering, I have built a sound knowledge of the mechanical engineering field. During my time at Sea Fire Europe Ltd I undertook various projects utilising Auto CAD and Flow Calculation Production. I provided specialist technical advice to clients and tailored products to match their requirements. I was keen to learn and never gave up whatever the challenge given, and developed a real “I can do it” attitude. This role was a mixture of office and home based work as and when required.

During my time at Specialised Polymer Engineering Ltd I supported a project to provide engineering support for a commercial aircraft design. My input into this project was to implement a system to calculate dimensions of an aircraft wing to facilitate the company’s sealing products. The software’s used by me to work on this project were Solidworks, and Catia using Oracle’s Autovue.

I am always prepared to travel abroad or any sites within the UK at short notice.

Accomplishments

 Seals to facilitate on aircraft wings

Specialised Polymer Engineering Ltd

• My input into this project was to implement a system to calculate dimensions of an aircraft wing to facilitate the company’s sealing products

• The data obtained was later utilised for mass production of seals to be used on the aircraft

 Utilising Flow Calculation software to improve on existing process

Sea Fire Europe Ltd

• Along with assistance of operations manager, sorted out a complicated technical query for a overseas client which took a prolonged period of time to reach a final solution

• I demonstrated the need for a flexible approach to the current process by adding a process which would meet specific client requirements. I amended the current generic piping orientations to obtain the best result taking into consideration the design concentration levels of the FM200 fire suppression agent

• This achieved a flow calculation report that can be used in any similar future scenarios

 Data collection device for an Automobile

Southampton Solent University – Final Year Dissertation

• Final year project titled “Data collection device for an Automobile”. This dissertation focused on developing a prototype which would be a combination of a trundle wheel with a data logger fitted on it

• The final outcome was to achieve a working data logging device for automobiles. The project involved designing a trundle wheel using Solidworks

 Manufacturing concepts using robotic programming

Southampton Solent University – Second Year

• A team comprising of four members to set up a system with the use of the robots. The robots were to identify good components and defective components and pick up and place them in to separate containers ready for the next process line

• My role was to programme the Robot using Walli3 software and help others by designing the specimens on Solidworks
