I am graduating from Durham University with a masters in Engineering specializing in Aeronautics. I have work experience in a range of places both engineering and non engineering. Looking to start my career in Engineering in Australia or New Zealand in a job that provides me the day to day challenges similar to my degree but also gives the opportunity to work in a variety of environments.

Summer 2013 Hayward and Green Aviation: Sales and Stock Assistant

One of Europe’s leading stockists of civil and general aviation aircraft spare parts.

Worked helping to disassemble aircraft as well as providing quotes and checking stock.

Quickly learnt how to use the company stock database. Responded to quotes accurately and promptly. Helped document part numbers and serial numbers. Involved in every aspect of the company

Summer 2012 Ingenia Solutions: Prototype Designer

Ingenia solutions Ltd specialise in the design, manufacture and installation of high quality, custom-built, engineering solutions.

Worked on an independent project developing a UV curing lamp. This involved using Solidworks to optimise the position of the reflectors as well as a practical element in constructing the case and installing the power supply.

Summer 2010/11 Pied Piper Activities: Group Leader

Successful and popular children’s summer camps run throughout the South East of England.

I worked for two successive years as a group leader at the Ardingly summer camp. This involved being in charge of a group of around 10 children and leading them in games and activities.

This was one of my more challenging jobs it required responsibility and alertness but also improvisation and imagination as well as a high level of enthusiasm.

I completed work experience in a variety of different sections providing an insight into working in an engineering environment as well as getting and opportunity to use some of the equipment.
