Greenlight Environmental Plant Operator July 2013-Nov 13

Daily tasks include plant operating of forklift, telescopic forklift and bobcat. On either of these machines I have a high responsibility to operate these machines safely and to make sure all environmental offloads are put in the allocated place. This job is high risk and every part of health and safety is adhered to and all members of crew are made aware. We work as part of a safe team and do our job to a high standard.

Universal Project Services Ltd Plant Operative/Labourer July 2012-Oct 2012

This contract was based at a damn project in Lanarkshire that required the relocation of mud banks that had built up over a lengthy period of time which may be contaminated and disposed of adequately. We took part in a large scale industrial jet wash to make sure all parts of the job where clean and up to a high standard. I operated the 360 Excavator and contributed to the overall tidy up of area and as a result this job was a high success and completed under budget.

Grafters Agency- Glasgow Plant Operator Mar 2012-June 2012

This short term contract involved working on a new build construction site next to Yorkhill Hospital. My duties included digging out foundations and ensure drainage was installed correctly for the commencement of house construction.

Grafters/ Luddons Construction Ganger man/ Plant Operator Aug 2011-Jan 2012

Working on a sub contract basis with Luddons Construction, I was responsible for assisting with road excavations, for the installation of pipes. I was responsible for the large industrial cleaning of tanks etc for use on future jobs. This was achieved by using the 360 excavator in line with health and safety regulations. I was also tasked with operating control of traffic flow on this project through the temporary traffic light operations and use of handheld radio equipment. I was able to carry out this duty due to having my New Roads and Street Works Act ticket.

Atlantix Construction Ganger man/ Plant Operator July 2010-July 2011

This project involved excavating all aspects of foundations and laying of main sewer line to complete the project. Steel construction and erection used on larger areas of the site. This site was adjacent to a main line train station in which health and safety was a major consideration along with minimum disruption to the general public. The project was completed successfully on time and on budget.

Sky Blue Solutions Ground Worker Sept 2009-May 2010

Working on a construction contract at Low Moss Prison, my duties included assisting with the installation of additional security provision, which consisted of steel fixing of reinforced casings for concrete, drainage and slabbing of area large scale industrial cleaning sand blasting and painting. This contract was carried out with full disclosure requirements.

Working within a substation, my responsibilities included general ground work including slabbing, mono blocking and drainage work. I was also involved with digging out test holes, repair work, pulling through cables and installing of high voltage power cables. These duties were undertaken with the perquisite documentation of a green book and site safety certification.

Wind farm project which involved the lay of 32kv underground pipework. As this was a high risk operation we received in house training for the job. All steel work and pipe work had to be laid exactly to our drawings. We worked as a team with many lifting operations as instructed. With all plant and equipment at hand this job went easily and was completed on time and budget. I have also carried out numerous construction contracts over the last few years that has involved the use of plant machinery, cabling and ground work duties.
