I am currently working for Cape plc on Cargill Mill and Refinery Installations. I also work as a Rope Access Technician Level 1. I have approximately 200 current hours working away from home for extended periods.

I was a Rope Access Technician over ten years ago but left the industry to move into the Education sector, teaching, mentoring and coordinating projects in schools and universities until 2012 and completing a BA hons degree while working full time. My approximate 500 rope access hours I had logged are no longer valid, but I hope this illustrates my level of experience and competency. I am also a qualified tree surgeon, working full time and part time since 1998.

I am committed to a career in the energy industry. I have a proven track record of commitment, versatility, intelligence and capability. I am keen to continue adding to my skill set and employability with additional training.

CAREER HISTORY

Rope Access Technician (approx 100hrs) Dec 2012 – present

• Cape plc – Industrial Cleaner – cleaning oil refinery, high pressure water jetting, breathing apparatus, adhering to safety procedures, safe systems of work, permits to work, risk assessments, method statements etc – July 2013 – present

• Treefellers – Carrying out regular de-scaling, de-veg, geotechnical and arbour work on railways and urban sites around the UK (chainsaws, pick axes, prybars, hedge trimmers) – Jan 2013 – present

• Vertical Access – Carrying out on going Geotechnical work on railways in Cumbria (Mac Mat R installation, de-veg, aluminium safety barrier installation) – May 2013 – present

Tree Surgeon Jul 1998 – present

• Carrying out all aspects of Tree Surgery including safe dismantling, pruning, reducing, felling operations using arboriculture industry techniques in part time and full time capacities over the years.
