Short Bio:

Being an Instrumentation & Control engineer I was lucky to got an opportunity to work in Oil & Gas field. Worked in harsh condition in desert and rural areas for 3 years. Also worked in GCC countries in site supervison. Got double promotion with my last employer which gives me strength to work more hard. Looking for an opportunity to work with an organization where employer explore more potential from me.

Professional Experience

Working with OFS (www.ofsme.com), Kurdistan, Iraq as a Sr. Instrumentation Engineer, from 27Jan’13 to till date. Also worked with Focus Energy Limited(an E&P company),India from Jan’10 to Jan’13 and having work experience on Onshore Rigs ZJ70LC(2000HP), ZJ40LC(1200HP),ZJ30HH(1000HP). Focus Energy Ltd. deals in Oil & Gas Exploration and  Production Sectors in Rajasthan and Gujarat (INDIA), Blocks in RJ-ON/06, RJ-ON-2003/2, GK-ON/04, CB-OSN-2004-1.

Job Responsibilities at OFS, Iraq  - From 27th Jan’13 To Till Date


  • Establishing a calibration lab and maintenance workshop in Erbil, Iraq
  • Calibration of Pressure Gauges, transmitters, and transducers.
  • Calibration of Temperature indicators, transmitters.
  • Calibration of pressure valves and safety valves and their maintenance.
  • Calibration of Load cell and torque gauges.
  • Calibration of chart recorders.
  • Handling all customers and follow their requirements related to Instrumentation and Inspection.
  • Provide crew for the Inspection and Instrumentation to rig site and supervision of crew.
  • Handling all the calibration data, certificate and issue to customers after job.


Job Responsibilities at Focus Energy Limited, India - From 09th Jan’10 To 26th Jan’13


  • Installation of all major rig sensors and commissioning of MUD LOGGING UNIT prior to the drilling operation.
  • Responsible for proper selection of sensors and transmitters as per application and other requirements.
  • Calibration and troubleshooting of HART protocol based field sensors like pressure transmitter , ultrasonic level transmitter, radar level transmitter, flow, temperature  & density transmitter , pump strokes & RPM sensor (proximity sensor), rotor encoder (for depth processing), Hookload sensor (load cell)
  • Preparing process and instrument diagram (P & I diagram) and sensor layout diagram for better understanding of process and location of instrument installed.
  • Monitoring & controlling of drilling parameters using real time data acquisition system by Data log software well wizard vs.3/4.
  • Monitoring & calibration of hydrocarbon parameter using total gas detector and Varian CP4900 micro gas chromatograph.
  • Handling of server at rig site and interface it using putty.
  • Maintaining Calibration record to check and verify sensor & instrument calibrations at the intervals specified in the relevant technical documents
  • Handling of directional surveying instruments to measure deviation in well bore.
  • Ensure that all equipments is functioning properly also ensure that all necessary routine maintenance and repairs is performed as required on all equipment.
  • Report breakdowns immediately and submit a detailed report of any equipment or software malfunctions to the base office.
  • Ensuring availability of all equipments related to statutory requirement.
  • Worked with well site geologist and interpreting & feedback the information to drilling team to ensure safe drilling operation.
  • Interpretation and analysis of real time data, preparation of daily progress report, final well report and ensure the quality and integrity of the well data.
  • Hands on experience with exploratory & development wells, sound knowledge of drilling and workover operation at rig site (Wireline logging, perforation, DST, casing & cementing).
