Short Bio:

I graduated from University of Technology Malaysia in 2012 during steadily rising oil prices.

I joined a small and emerging local Oil & Gas company as a Project Engineer. In a small company, a Project Engineer’s job does not limit itself to project management. I had the opportunity to get involved on all business operations, ranging from administration, finance, sales, marketing, management and execution.

An established local Oil & Gas trading and services company with 70 employees and growing, delivering quality, cost-effective services across a range of contracts with a broad list of clients in the Oil & Gas sector.

Involved:
Supervising the project development from contracting strategy, bidding, evaluation, budget observation, resource & quality management throughout the project design, inspection and reporting of Explosion-Proof Equipments valued at RM10 million.

Managed branch administration, maintenance, resources and upgrades to provide the best facility for use by manpower allocated to 5 major contracts in Sarawak.

Achievements:

Within 2 months in the company, took on the first Explosion-proof Inspection 3+1 year contract, involving 106 platforms, with more than 100,000 inspection points, worth RM12 million.

Generated 50% savings and 50% less time on IECEx inspection check sheet in restructuring the format and attachments.

Reduced RM144,000 in annual overhead cost by proposing, designing, sourcing and overseeing the branch upgrade to a transit office complete with hotel facilities.

Saves RM36,000 in company annual costs by proposing a copier machine upgrade to support colour printing and scanning.

Established web based HR Leave system from the ground up, increasing HR efficiency by eliminating paperwork.

Recruit, interview, select and hired 7 subordinates working under the inspection contract.
