Aug 2012 - Present: Clyde Union Pumps Mechanical Fitter

Construction of several types of pumps such as Single and Two Stage Pumps, Multi-Stage and Reciprocating for use in Nuclear, Oil and Gas as well as Shipbuilding and other Energy Industries. Also responsible for Hydro Testing and Balancing of Shaft Assemblies and Impellers prior to Construction.

2003 – May 2012: Royal Navy - Leading Engineering Technician

Responsible for a Section of men dealing with Submarine Systems such as Nuclear, Propulsion, High pressure air, Hydraulics, Steam Systems, Compressors and Water Purification.

We also had responsibility for several fixed firefighting systems as well as portable equipment.

This involved several Health and Safety procedures and risk assessments.

As a team we have worked together to assure the Submarine sails on time, as the head of this team i was responsible for Systems being in working order and playing a part for a nuclear submarine sailing on time.

1995-2003: George Taylor and Co - Lab Technician

Dealing with all aspects of Foundry Lab work including Metal analysis before and after casting as well as non destructive testing on finished casting.
