Employment history

Schlumberger Cloughfern Avenue Newtownabbey County Antrim BT37 0UH
Date (from-to) 2008-2016
Position held CNC Machine Operator

Machine experience:

Deckel Maho Vertical/Horizontal Milling Centre: This is a 5-axis machine running ISO programming. It has table approximately 64”x48” so work on this machine can range from smaller parts to fairly large parts and can consist of different set ups involving V-blocks or using an attachable rotary chuck.

Mazak Integrex e-670: Multi-Tasking Machining Centre capable of both Turing and Milling operations. Runs both ISO and Mazaks own Mazatrol programs. Very large machine bed with supporting tailstock.

Bridgeport VMC: Digital Vertical Machining Centre running ISO, with 3 axis’s ranging from 20”- 26” used for smaller work pieces, rotary chuck attached.

Milko Manual Mill: Small but open work bed, used for reworks, one offs or for achieving high finish sealing surfaces.

Also as part of my training development plan I had the opportunity to spend time in both Quality Control and Deburring departments within the company and am fully competent in both areas. Throughout my time there, great emphasis was placed on the importance of Health and Safety within the workplace. All areas of my work are approached with caution and with health and safety at the very top of the priority list. I believe I can carry these valuable skills and ideas with me to my next challenge with a new company and can work with a commitment to continuous improvement and a flexible approach to work to further my experience and development.
