Profile

A competent and highly skilled supervisor with over 25 years of diverse oil and gas drilling experience. Currently working for Air drilling Associates and employed as Senior Nitrogen and Compression Supervisor. My duties consist of the complete flow monitoring of Air and Foam Drilling, Liaising with other stakeholders and contractors, Involvement with safety meetings, repairs and preventative maintenance to the compression equipment and rig up/down the communication equipment. A highly experienced rig mechanic, specializing in compressors since 2006. Offering an employer more than 30 years of mechanical experience and I have the ability to learn new skills quickly. Speaking German as my mother language, but also can read, write and speak English. Has successfully been involved with drilling more than 100 wells in Germany, Libya, Algeria, Kuwait, Iraq, Portugal, Georgia and Tunisian. Has insistently carried forward the ‘Think Safety’ attitude completing work with zero lost time incidents and always striving to improve safety in the workplace. Air Drilling Associates
Senior Supervisor 2011 – 2015

• Supervising a team of compression operators using Nitrogen Production Units, Gardener Denver, and Sullair, Ariel and Joy compressor and boosters.

• Supervise the heavy lifts; spotting of equipment, rig up of high-pressure pipe work and hoses, High pressure testing and all pumping operations.

• Install the flow, pressure and temperature monitoring equipment and competent with using Barton recorders, Flow meters, and basic data acquisition equipment.

• Complete all the toolbox talks and hold regular safety meetings for the small team that I am in charge of.

• Installing and operating high pressure rotating control device and low-pressure rotating control device (RCD).

• Working also with V Cone flow meter.

• Worked in Hassi Messaoud, Algeria for the Under Balanced Drilling (UBD) department.

• Supervised multinational teams of men operating and repairing various compression equipment including nitrogen production units, Ariel, Joy and SullAir compressors.

• Also supervised the rig up and pressure testing of the 1502 iron and kept logs and reports of all the pumping operations.

• Competent in the use of N2 flow monitoring equipment such as junior and senior Daniels office plates.

• During my time with Weatherford I worked with Shell, Total and Sonatrach.

2000 – 2006

• Lanhandel Food Company specialized in organic food wholesale and supply and I worked within a team of maintenance engineers.

• I maintained and repaired various industrial food preparation equipment and aggregates including: automated packaging equipment, industrial mixers, waste disposal machines, automatic lubricators and specialized computer run machines.

• Responsible for the stock control of spare parts for repair and maintenance of the company’s food processing equipment.

1990 – 2000

• ITAG / ADPS are a drilling and work over company based in Germany.

• I worked as a chief mechanic with them for 10 years.

• My duties included maintaining and repairing all of the rigs mechanical equipment such as fluid pumps, shakers, tuggers, centrifugal pumps, and compressors, lifting equipment and firefighting equipment.

• I was competent with the use of the permit to work system and followed all relevant QHSE standards.

 

Geothermal Drilling Company

• I started as a Derrickman and my responsibilities were aligning sections of drill pipe from a platform on the rig derrick during the removal and replacement of strings of pipe.

• Assisted in setting up, taking down and transporting the drilling rig.

• My role also meant that I supervised the roughnecks.

• When promoted to motorman, my primary job function was rig equipment maintenance.

• Inspected the rig motors and other mechanical equipment on the rig for proper functioning and took all necessary steps including lubrication and regular maintenance to render equipment in a working condition.
