Key Responsibilities in Quality Assurance and Quality Control

– Responsible for the quality performance of project QA/QC system and procedures.

– Supervising and managing all Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) functions in the workplace and managing a team of QC Engineers/Inspectors for day to day QA/QC functions.

– Check & review the plans, project specifications for the proper construction & implementation at job site/ Preparation of Project Quality Control Plan, Method Statements, Material Submittals, Inspection & Test Plans, Quality Control Procedures and Check lists for the inspections according to the Project Specification and International standards.

– Providing technical support to the construction team on critical activities.

– Inspection of pre-pour, post pour, earthwork, piling, Grouting and finishing work of civil construction activities. Fabrication and galvanization of minor steel structures and embedded items. Holiday test for coating and wrapping of DOW piping.

– Inspection of material and reviewing of Mill Test certificates, Technical data sheets to ensure it complies with project requirements.

– Witnessing and inspection of jointing and testing on GRE piping.

– Preparation of Test packages of GRE piping.

– Conducting / Making material inspection upon delivery for precast elements (Manhole pits, CRC pipes), rebar’s, shuttering materials, joineries and fixation items, Water proofing materials, paints, repairing, grouting materials etc., and getting client/consultant’s approval for the same.

– Issuing Non – conformance reports for non-conforming material, workmanship and follow up on disposition and corrective actions.

– Following all paper works and record keeping for all approvals (Inspections, materials, test reports, deliveries, concrete cubes etc.).

– Making regular surveillance inspection on site to control the quality of work being implemented by the construction team.

– Coordinating with testing laboratory to conduct necessary field and lab tests as per project specification and witnessing the sampling for field test.

– Preparation and submission of Weekly and monthly reports to QA/QC Manager.

– Preparation of Handing over Documents, monitoring and co-ordination for the documents handing over procedure to the clients.

– Contacting Internal Audit throughout the company (Various Departments & Projects) in co-ordination with internal audit department.

– Execution of concrete works, masonry works and Structural Steel works (Installation of Roof Truss, Structural Steel Inserts like Anchor Bolts).

– Proceeding and Maintaining Necessary Field and Laboratory Tests.

– Maintaining Man Power &Machinery log registers.

– Execution of finishing works such as Fixing of joineries, Aluminum works, etc.,

– Coordinating with planning section in preparation of Program schedules.

– Coordinating with Regional manager regarding the progress, attending & discussing the site issues in Progress review meetings with Consultant.

– Coordinating with surveyor in Marking of layout for buildings, Centre line and level of structures, Marking, Fixing& Checking of Inserts etc.,

– Coordinating with other discipline site engineers, Sub contractors, Workers in Execution of daily activities at site as per schedule, approved drawings and getting approval from the consultant for every activity and maintaining the relevant documents.

– Preparing shop drawing in Auto Cad, Bill of Quantity and schedule in MS Project.

– Preparing purchase requisition and closely monitoring the status. Receiving the material, ensuring the quality and quantity and storing them properly.
