I have worked as a maintenance technician and team leader for over twenty years.

I have worked personally for high profile individuals, including the Dubai and Jordanian Royal families as a protective vehicle specialist and technical trainer.

I currently work as a heavy maintenance technician and technical trainer at Bombardier International train depot that is based in the East Midlands. I repair and maintain all the current rolling stock and associated equipment.

I am very dynamic and always exceed work requirements. I can think outside the box and solve any problems that may arise in the workplace with a “can do attitude”. I am driven and enjoy working under pressure, taking great personal and professional pride in my work ethic. I am always updating my skills so that I can approach a task with confidence and diligence. Due to my time served in the military I have outstanding time management and man management skills.

September 2014 – Present

Maintenance Technician

I work as a contractor for Edwinstowe Resources LTD that operates out of central rivers rail depot in Derbyshire. This is the main rail repair and servicing hub for the East Midlands region that upgrades and modifies rolling stock for Bombardier International Trains and Virgin Rail Transportation.

My role within the depot is to act as the maintenance team leader with a primary role of repairing, replacing and conducting modifications of the following components.

• Heavy Diesel Engines

• Gearbox and Final Drives

• Axels

• Pneumatic and Hydraulic Systems

• Brakes

• Electronic Inverters and Warning Systems

• Emergency Radio and Communication Systems

During this period I worked as a close protection officer and embedded protective vehicle technician for the Dubai and Jordanian Royal family. I was responsible for the security operations and maintenance of diplomatic protective vehicles whilst at the same time working as an effective close protection officer. This role was worldwide and was based primarily in New York City.

My responsibilities included training and developing adult learners in vehicle mechanics and associated topics such as teamwork and personal development. This was mainly level 1 through to a level 3 diploma working in conjunction with the NOCN and city and guilds curriculum.

Field Support Technician

I worked as a field support technician for Reflex Mercedes Benz. I was responsible for the customer support of vehicle owners. This required me to travel to remote locations and give technical advice and conduct warranty repairs of private cars and commercial vehicles. I was also responsible for the reporting to head office of any technical issues that arose in my daily duties.

During this period I worked as a ground support technician and engineering trainer.

I was responsible for the maintenance and repair of ground support equipment which included road vehicles, hydraulic lifting equipment, airfield arrestor and safety equipment, mobile cranes, ground power units and special build vehicles.

I reached the rank of corporal and I was responsible for an engineering section that consisted of a team ranging from five to ten individuals from several trades.

I was also responsible for the training and development of new recruits that joined my section along with the remedial training of engineers that needed corrective training.
