I am currently working for Bombardier Transportation, a train maker in Derby. I'm a Spray Painter/Refinisher by trade and currently held this position for 9 years. I am apprentice trained, also a trained First Aider, Fire Warden and Housekeeping Champion. I achieved Apprentice of the year, and I'm very ambitious. I'm looking for work in Europe or elsewhere (Excluding the U.K.) to broaden my horizons, increase my skillset and see the world while I work. Happy to consider a new opportunity.

I currently work within the Paintshop, where I completed my Apprenticeship. Currently prepare either full trains or parts in preparation for painting (Use of filler and techniques to remove any scratches, chips or dints), the painting process itself (from spray painting Primer, Topcoats water-based and solvent-based, metallic and also clear coat/lacquer) to finally the last stage (Polishing, spot repairs and after care.) I am also an experienced brush painter and decorator with a GNVQ in Construction, which involved certain aspects of construction, from brickwork to painting and decorating. I achieved apprentice of the year in my first year, and currently train other apprentices. During my apprenticeship I attended courses in Methods and Quality. I am also my shifts First Aider, Fire Warden and Housekeeping Champion.

This position involved the cleaning of Midland Mainlines Meridian 222 fleet (Which I later painted during my apprenticeship) at Etches Park, Derby. All the interiors had to e cleaned to a high standard during the night so that the fleet could return to service in the morning for the customers.
