• A wide and multi-functional role with overall responsibility for the implementation and maintenance of a materials management service to pre-determined departments and wards across this busy hospital

• Develop and execute a sourcing strategy to meet the company’s business growth and sourcing requirements

• Implement and manage, in conjunction with Finance, an inventory control system, capable of identifying discrepancies in inventory counts and taking corrective action to guard against inconsistencies

• Work within financial constraints; prepare the materials budget, schedule expenditures, analyze variances and initiate corrective actions

• Preparation of various reports to the senior management team including spend profiles and regular reporting of spend/saving activity for the Supplies Strategy Group
