I have had previous experience of volunteering in an elderly home and enjoyed the role of assisting and supporting elders live their life happily for 7 months. I am physically fit and have dealt with challenges that have brought out the best in me. i also made trustworthy relationships with the residents and helped them improve independence on their lives. I assisted with personal care, meal preparations, companionship and mobility needs. I provided a safe and caring environment for each one of them and made them feel home.I approach work with flexibility, eager to work shifts and overtime. I believe in safety above everything and make sure patients remain safe and happy. I am caring, energetic, compassionate and have excellent communication and listening skills. I hold a caregiver qualification from Red Cross, with willingness to work towards attaining further (NVQ or QQI) qualifications.
