Previous Employment Details:

1)Chitungwiza Central Hospital : Nurse Aide/Healthcare Assistant (04 April 2022 to June 27 2022)
The primary focus was to provide palliative care and support to patients (Elderly & bed ridden etc ) in various wards and departments of the hospital to ensure that they were well looked after during their recovery period.
Key Responsibilities:
Provided everyday personal care such as washing, dressing ，toileting (provision of bed pan and wiping), catherter care and general hygiene.
Documentation & monitoring of the patient’s condition and informing healthcare practitioners who were also involved in their care.
Escorting patients for hospital appointments i.e xray,surgery etc
Helping with taking of various medication and pain relieving techniques
Prepared meals and assisted patients with feeding when required
Ensured ongoing maintenance and upkeep of the the designated working area to promote a safe, clean and comfortable environment
Flexible in working various shifts with ease i.e day shifts and night shifts i.e 7pm - 7 AM & 7 AM to 7 PM.
Provided patients with much needed companionship through engaging them in daily activities, provision of entertainment such as board games and basic conversations.

2. 16 February 2020 to 11 January 2022)Caregiver for a Elderly family member with physical illness : Responsibilities included scheduling medical appointments and in-home hospice care.
Key Responsibilities:
Provided a comforting and soothing environment.
Provided grocery shopping and runs other household tasks
Provided a foundation of support including playing cards, reading out loud, watching television jointly, and made bed.
Coordinated treatment regimens and schedules while also managed the financial and administrative aspects of the individuals medical care.
Assisted with personal care such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene.
Planned and designed meals to meet the nutrition requirements of patient.
Maintained housekeeping activities that included: sweeping ,dusting, mopping, bathroom cleaning, and dishwashing.
Learned to recognize symptoms of UTI, which often resulted in a decline in the patient\'s condition.
Recognized patients needs when she was no longer able to communicate her needs.

3)Young Africa Skills Centre ; Programmes intern officer ( May 2018 to January 2019 ) (reasons for leaving - it was an fixed term college placement)

Worked with various NGO professionals to improve research and garner deeper grasp of related topics i.e how to enhance the lives of impoverished youths in the local community.
